The Hoover dam, pictured below, is a hydroelectric dam the
provides power to areas in Nevada, Arizona,
and California.

The left face of the dam holes a large reservoir of water to be
used in turbines to generate power. We
will approximate this face as a rectangular plane with a width of
380m at an angle of 80° with the water
surface, as pictured below. Determine the magnitude and line of
action of the hydrostatic force on the
dam at its maximum depth of 180m.
